Teeth Whitening

Do you want to brighten the appearance of your smile? Teeth whitening can lighten the shade of your teeth and transform a dull, tired smile into a dazzling showpiece that brightens every room it enters.

Over time, your teeth can become stained, darker or discolored. Teeth whitening systems are a safe, easy and effective way to remove or bleach external stains on your teeth. Dr. Subka uses an advanced in-office procedure to gently yet dramatically whiten and brighten dull, discolored teeth.

Porcelain Veneers and Bonding

Dr. Subka is highly skilled in the use of porcelain veneers, which can beautify your smile by improving the color, shape and spacing of your teeth. Veneers are thin porcelain coverings that are applied over the front of your natural teeth to

  • Correct misaligned or misshapen teeth
  • Close gaps between teeth
  • Strengthen your natural teeth
  • Preserve the natural structure of your teeth
  • Whiten stained teeth

Porcelain veneers are long-lasting, natural looking, resistant to stains and chips and will not discolor over time. If your teeth are chipped or beginning to look worn with age, veneers can restore their youthful appearance and protect them from further damage.

Bonding is one of the easiest and least expensive cosmetic dental procedures. During bonding, a tooth-colored composite resin is applied to improve the appearance of a discolored tooth, repair a chipped tooth, change the length or shape of a tooth or close spaces between teeth. Unlike veneers, which require a customized mold to achieve a proper fit, bonding can be done in a single visit.

Crowns and Bridges

A crown is a tooth covering designed to restore a single damaged tooth back to original form and function. Crowns are used primarily to replace old, large, broken fillings or teeth that have been fractured or chipped.

Dr. Subka uses CEREC® crowns to restore and repair damaged teeth in a single office visit – not three or four. With CEREC crowns, there is no need for a messy impression or awkward temporary crown. And because your restoration is made completely of tooth-colored ceramic material with no unsightly metal, your finished result will be beautiful and completely natural-looking. Learn more about CEREC crowns >>

A bridge is a prosthesis that spans the distance between a missing tooth or teeth and is anchored to the remaining teeth on either side. These teeth are usually covered with crowns that hold the bridge securely in place.

Dr. Subka will prepare your bridge using models to assess the best way to accomplish the procedure. Once she has determined what is right for you, the teeth that will be used to attach your bridge are reshaped, from which impressions are taken and then sent to our dental technician.

While your permanent bridge is being fashioned, Dr. Subka will cement a temporary bridge in place for you to wear to protect your teeth and gums. On your next visit, she will remove the temporary bridge and place your permanent bridge, checking and adjusting for any bite discrepancies. When Dr. Subka is satisfied that your new bridge is functioning properly, she will then cement it to your teeth.

Dental Implants

If you have missing teeth and want to smile, speak and eat again with comfort and confidence, dental implants offer you the best, most stable and longest-lasting solution.

Thanks to advanced technology, today’s dental implants are strong, beautiful and completely natural-looking. Comfortable and cosmetically appealing, dental implants can help you regain a strong, healthy bite, without the inconvenience of bridges or dentures – often in as little as one or two office visits.

Depending on your situation, Dr. Subka can use implants to:

  • Replace one or more teeth without affecting bordering teeth
  • Support a bridge and eliminate the need for a removable partial denture
  • Provide support for a denture, making it more secure and comfortable
  • Restore function and balance to your bite
  • Give you a naturally beautiful smile

Besides looking like natural teeth, implants also feel and function like natural teeth. In fact, dental implants are so comfortable and natural-looking, you may forget you ever lost a tooth.

Precision Dentures

If you have lost teeth due to gum disease, tooth decay or traumatic injury, you may be a candidate for full or partial dentures. Dentures are removable artificial teeth that can restore your ability to eat and speak. They provide a natural-looking smile while enhancing your facial appearance.

Full dentures are appropriate for people who have lost all of their teeth on their upper or lower jaws, whereas partial dentures are suitable for a series of extracted teeth. Partial dentures are held in place by attachments to adjacent natural teeth. The adjacent teeth are typically crowned to increase stability.

Dentures are made of various materials to simulate the appearance of your natural teeth and gums. Thanks to advances in dentistry, dentures today are designed to be comfortable and functional. Dr. Subka will specifically match the color of your teeth and gums to that of your custom made dentures. Professionally-made dentures are composed of premium long-lasting products, low-staining teeth, and high impact acrylic bases. With proper care, your dentures should last for a very long time.

Tooth-colored Fillings

Are you put off by silver fillings for cavities? Dr. Subka offers tooth-colored fillings made from durable plastics called composite resins. Similar in color and texture to natural teeth, the fillings are less noticeable and much more attractive than other types of fillings. Besides being virtually invisible, composite resins bond to the tooth structure, which can protect and increase the overall strength of the tooth being restored.

Because composite resins are tooth-colored, they look more natural than other filling materials, so you can smile, talk, and eat with confidence.

Laser-Assisted Therapy

Laser-assisted therapy, or laser dentistry, is an effective way to perform many dental procedures. Using laser assisted therapy, Dr. Subka can treat a highly specific area of focus without damaging surrounding tissues. Laser dentistry also minimizes bacterial infections and bleeding while enabling wounds to heal faster. Dr. Subka uses laser assisted therapy on a number of occasions, including:

  • Provide immediate pain relief from mouth sores and ulcers
  • Remove diseased gum tissue
  • Treat sensitive teeth
  • Reshape gum tissue to improve the appearance of a “gummy” smile
  • Remove gum abnormalities
  • Perform biopsies and other surgical procedures

There are many applications of laser dentistry. If you have a tooth or gum condition that requires treatment, ask Dr. Subka if laser-assisted therapy is an option for you.
