Dr. Jacqueline Subka Talks about the Simplicity and Results of Invisalign®

Gradual Steps to a Perfect Smile

After x-rays and impressions are taken of your mouth, a 3-D image is usually generated to help Dr. Subka plan out exactly how your teeth will look at the end of your treatment. Computer generated custom made aligners will be fabricated from the 3-D image and you will receive a series of aligners designed to slowly shift your crooked teeth into a perfect smile. A new set of aligners will be assigned every two weeks and most treatment is complete in about a year. Multiple sets of aligners can be given to you at a time so the number of appointments during treatment is reduced significantly compared to traditional metal braces, perfect for a busy schedule!

Key Benefits of Invisalign®

While straightening crooked teeth with traditional metal braces is effective, it can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. Metal braces can cause painful mouth sores, difficulty eating, and if teeth are not cleaned properly, can lead to tooth decay, discoloration, and possible gum disease. Benefits of Invisalign® include:

  • Aligners are nearly invisible.
  • Clear aligners are removable – brushing and flossing are a breeze!
  • There are no metal wires and brackets to irritate your mouth.
  • The clear aligners are smooth and comfortable.
  • You can eat whatever you want.
  • Removable aligners are easy to clean.
